Allie & Jason

The Filter Building

In the heart of Dallas lies East Dallas, a neighborhood that feels like a small town yet thrives with an eclectic mix of artists, musicians, business owners, and nature lovers, all centered around the beloved White Rock Lake. This vibrant community set the stage for Allie & Jason’s love story, which began on the Gaelic football fields of East Dallas. With many out-of-town guests, they wanted everyone to experience the true local spirit. The Filter Building on White Rock Lake provided the perfect fall waterfront backdrop for their ceremony. Their love of music was highlighted by friends performing a cappella opera, and thoughtful design details reflected both their heritage and values: potted plant centerpieces for guests, terracotta vases with autumn blooms, table names honoring family and friends, and a menu celebrating Texas flavors with nachos and brisket. Local favorites, including Leila Bakery, contributed to the wedding cake and cookie table, tying in community and tradition. The celebration flowed seamlessly from the ceremony to a lively reception, where Unfaded Brass Band led a one-mile second-line procession to White Rock Alehouse & Brewery for the after-party. Guests danced under the stars, enjoying the crisp fall evening and festive sounds of the brass horns—a weekend that perfectly captured Allie & Jason’s love, their community, and the joy of gathering in East Dallas.
